CWTSH FIRST FRIDAYS EXTRA presents THE MAMHILAD ARTS PROJECT (MAP) a group of volunteers investigating alternative uses for the industrial site of the former British Nylon Spinners (BNS, Courthaulds, ICI, DuPont). A much loved site that provided work and social club facilities to tens of thousands up to the Eighties and is now in danger of partial demolition. It includes a photographic social history of ‘The Nylon’, the name this Grade II* listed factory was fondly remembered as.
